Teesworks is looking to recruit an Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) Director.
Teesworks is part of the Tees Valley Combined Authority Group and is situated in Redcar. The Combined Authority was established in 2016 to drive economic growth, create jobs and transform the five local authorities of Tees Valley. The programme of works covers an extensive and diverse array of construction related projects under the direct control of the Development Corporation, including ground investigations, asset decontamination and demolition; earthworks and ground remediation and transport and utilities infrastructure provision. Within the next year alone, numerous construction and demolition contracts will be let, creating 775 jobs, with an initial investment of almost £400million.
The applicant must be able to demonstrate extensive, senior level EHSS and Risk Management knowledge and experience, gained in construction and/or operational environments, and be capable of leading on the establishment and delivery of the various policies, standards and systems necessary to ensure the organisation and the Teesworks site operate in line with applicable industry best practice guidance and legislation.
