Tees Valley has been described by the President of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Paul Drechsler as “a fantastic example of public-private partnership – the strongest and most ambitious in the country”…Powerful words from the president of an organisation representing 190,000 businesses across the UK.
Tees Valley Combined Authority, and the Local Enterprise Partnership, helps new businesses looking to invest in the region. The Business Investment team are dedicated to progressing business development in the area and will give advice and support to new or relocating businesses to make sure they find the right location, provide information on the workforce, training and skills available in the area and help access support services. This support makes putting investment funds into the area easier than ever, and underlines what a great place Tees Valley is to live and work in.
Tees Valley is known for its strong background in industrial and manufacturing industries, and recent investment in unprecedented new technologies in the energy, subsea and biologic sectors has meant that Tees Valley currently contributes over £10 billion per annum to the national economy. Following the signing of the devolution deal in October 2015, we have been able to ensure that funds are available to open up new opportunities for local businesses and potential new investors in the area.
